An outdoor power equipment manufacturer needed durable labels that endure the full service life of their machines. However, due to harsh outdoor conditions, its existing labels were fading rapidly. Critical information quickly became illegible, compromising critical details such as safety instructions, model numbers, and usage guidelines. 

The distributor approached Wise for a solution. After making a careful review of the conditions to which the label would be exposed, Wise suggested a new label material specifically designed for durability, weather resistance, and UV protection. The new material ensures that the labels withstand the challenging outdoor environment, meeting the manufacturer’s requirements for long-lasting and effective product identification. 

Solution included the following:  

• Matte film laminate material with a polyester face stock known for its robustness and ability to withstand outdoor conditions. The matte finish also reduces glare and increases readability.
  

• Permanent acrylic adhesive with an extremely strong bond that prevents issues such as peeling or detachment.
  

• Polyester face stock that offers outstanding durability and resistance to tearing, resulting in labels that are well-suited for outdoor applications. 

The customer now has durable labels that remain intact and legible for the entire expected service life of their outdoor power equipment. Combination of matte film laminate and polyester face stock make labels highly readable and weatherproof and able to resist the adverse effects of outdoor elements such as rain, sunlight, and temperature fluctuations. Labels are UV-resistant, resisting fading and deterioration caused by prolonged exposure to sunlight.
