Effective August 10, 2025, Pixelle will be closing its Chillicothe, OH mill, the only domestic manufacturer of carbonless paper. Wise has been preparing for this change and is committed to ensuring a smooth transition for our customers.
Q: What does the Pixelle closure mean for me?
A: Wise has proactively secured a substantial inventory of carbonless paper and has been sourcing, testing, and purchasing high-quality offshore alternatives. We are fully prepared to continue fulfilling your carbonless paper orders without interruption.
Q: Can I still place orders as usual?
A: Yes. You can continue placing orders as you normally would.
Q: What if I have a large order that utilizes carbonless paper?
A: Wise is in good position to handle even the largest carbonless orders. Also, Wise has the flexibility to deal with large orders with our multiple-plant network, warehouse infrastructure, and even partial orders to hold you over if needed.
Q: Is alternative carbonless paper available now?
A: Yes, carbonless paper from our new suppliers has been thoroughly tested and is already in stock at all Wise facilities, and we are receiving regular shipments to maintain supply.
Q: Are other paper grades affected?
A: Pixelle may shift some paper grades to their PA mill, but some grades may be discontinued. We will keep you informed of any changes that may affect your orders.
Q: Will pricing change?
A: Currently, there are no changes. However, future pricing may be influenced by paper costs and tariffs. We expect more clarity by mid-to-late Q3 2025.
Q: Who can I contact with questions?
